My mother wants me to date this geek. What should i say?

My mother met this guy at a party and she brings him over to me. He is light skin and very attractive but he's a geek and i hate how he talks and that he is over smart. I dont want to date him nor do i want to hurt his feelings.

tell your mother that you are an intelligent individual and can choose a man of your liking. Parents should not interfere with their children's relationships.

tell the "geek" how you feel about him, and well also let you mother know so that she wont keep bring him over and then start to give him wings thinking that maybe he do have a chance, cuase for miost people the problem is for the mother to like boyfriend, and this case seems opposite.. but yea let him know soon.

If you don't want to date him because you perceive him to be a "geek" then go for a guy that is young and dumb if it is a better fit for you.

You should keep it real and say mom thanks but I can handle my dating life! So that way her feelings would not be hurt.

I'd go on one date, it won't hurt you, if you still feel the same way at the end of the date tell him you think that the two of you might be good friends. All men know the word friend is the kiss of death to any chance of a relationship. And who knows he might not like you that way at the end of the date, intellectuals like to interact with people who follow more intellectual endevors. And tell your mom if it doesn't work out that there just wasn't any chemistry, women understand that, he might be handsome but the spark just wasn't there. Sometimes that happens with even the most promising prospects.
