Was just told by Walgreen's that Excedrin has found their problem and fixed it and should be on the shelf's of stores by next month. I need my Excedrin Migraine for my headaches. And Excedrin PM to sleep. Lost with out them. Man when they come out again I will stock up in case they have this problem again. Cant get to sleep and have this terrible headache.
There is no documented record as to when Excedrin will be available again after it is recalled. Aleve and Anacin are some of the alternatives for it. You can also opt for natural remedies like peppermint oil or lavender oil.
Lincoln Nebraska online newspaper Lincoln journal reports June 2012 is when production "might" restart on Excedrin. The plant is located there and needs $120 million in upgrades & repairs to satisfy the FDA. 700 employees are currently laid off. Channel 4 tv news Michigan also corroborates the same story online
Walgreen and the dollar store have them in GEN. as for sleeping try taking Melatonin it is a natural sleep aid, within 15 min. u will be asleep and its cheap at Wal mart . they have 3 mg or 6mg. or 10mg. I take the 3mg and wake up with no sluggishness. try it!
Excedrin Migraine is just acetaminophen and aspirin. Just get the generic brand from Target or Wally, really it's the same drugs in the same amounts, only the name is different. If you don't believe the generic will work for you then maybe you have an addiction problem that isn't related to the headaches.

No. It's aspirin, Tylenol and the real secret ingredient is... caffeine. That's what makes it work so well. Just use one aspirin, one Tylenol and 3/4 of a 200mg caffeine tablet. The generics are nowhere to be found either. Fortunately, I am an RN and I found out about the recall early. I went and cleaned out my local Krogers. I'm good for a while. Let this be a lesson. If you really need something, keep a years supply of it. Never depend on the government or others to fix things for you. Another example is the Primatine Mist inhalers. It;s just inhaleable epinephrine, so they finally banned it December of last year. I picke up some for my home medical kit. They can be good for a variety of medical situations. Good for a home medical bag, but please only if you know what you are doing... Here's a hint. Stock up on those caffeinated tablets. I predict that one day they will be banned or go behind the counter. Caffeine is a smooth muscle relaxant as well as having the ability to keep you alert during the zombie apocalypse. You don't want who's on watch getting drowsy.
The difference in generics & brands are the fillers used in each. Everyone's body absorbs these differently, so if you don't absorb the fillers well then you won't absorb the medication well. I am a nurse and got that info from a good pharmacist. Makes total sense to me. I thought I was CRAZY! But I am not crazy nor addicted! Shame on those who think otherwise! I have a long history of migraines & have prescription meds but Excedrin works great if I catch it early....NO other OTC works! So glad it is coming back!
TIME FOR EXCEDRIN LOVERS TO CELEBRATE! I just checked Walmart.com and, for the first time in 6 months, Excedrin products come up in the search result. Although it's not ALL Excedrin (Novartis) products, there are 2 right now: Excedrin Tension Headache and Excedrin PM. I checked the websites of other large retailers (Target, Walgreens, etc.), but Excedrin still brings up no results. I'm sure Walmart, since they're the kings of retail, are #1 on Novartis's list of who to supply first. Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know. This is a sure sign that Excedrin products are on the way back to all stores!
