Can splenda cause tinnitus?

No way ! At least you can't unless your putting it in your ear, then I wouldn't know about that one.

I saw something about it on the internet. That is why i am asking! You don't need to be sarcastic especially to those who are sufferring and trying to find the cause. You should be glad your not suffering from it.

Let me tell you something! I was not being sarcastic! I am suffering from Tinnitus, and to make you happy I also have Menieres Disease! I have Tennitis that caused Menieres disease. I actually was being serious about putting splenda in the ear, because that would be the only way that splenda could cause Tinnitus. One night while fishing at the lake, the left side of my face went numb, and 20 minute's later I was spinning so fast that all I could was vomit. My husband took me to the ER, they thought I had a inner ear infection. I heard nothing in that ear except the whistling type sound that come's from putting a seashell up to your ear, and it was so loud, and echoing so bad that I thought I was going to die. I stayed dizzy, and had nausea bad constantly, and my head spun so much that there was nothing to do but PUKE! The ringing, nausea, the buzzing, and the vomiting, was severe. I lot 70 lb's in 1 month, because I could eat or keep down nothing. After 4 week's of stupid doctor's not knowing anything, I told them that this is a ear problem, and I wanted to see a ENT. While the ENT knew what was wrong, there was nothing they could do. I lost all hearing in that ear at the age of 32. I was sicker than old Cooter Brown! Everytime I had an appt. my little son, and husband held me up every time I went to those appt's. I walked worse than a drunk. I had to hold the wall's to walk. I would actually lay on the wall with both hand's, and arm's, and slid down the wall's, I and looked, and felt like a crazy, drunk, retarted, helpless, invalid. I stayed sick for 3 year's, then got a very low grade of hearing back in that ear. I was fitted with a over the ear hearing aid that did no good for another 2 year's. At that time I had gotten to where the sound's didn't drive me crazy anymore, then the hearing worked. If anyone or anything make's a medium to loud noise with or without the hearing aid, it hurt's like crazy. I was a wall hugger for 5 year's before I could walk by myself. Continue below.

Then another 7 before I stopped vomiting. Now I am loosing my hearing in the right ear, because of the strain the right ear took to try to hear for both ear's. My ENT figure's me to need the other hearing aid within the next 1-2 year's. So don't tell me that I don't need to be sarcastic to the one's suffering with this, because I am the one suffering with it. You jumped to conclusion's when you knew nothing about me. So I have been deathly sick with that, and other thing's for 12 long year's, my friend!

I am, and alway's will be dizzy, and sick, and have ringing in the ear for the rest of my life. I have bad headache's every day, and what most don't know is that it is 10 time's worse to have a busting headache on one half, (one side) of the head than if it was the whole head that hurt. So don't judge me.

Sorry to hear that but the sound is driving crazy! I need help finding answers, relief what ever! Not just quick answers by doctors that it's cause by stress, increased caffiene. I saw articles on it when i was browsing for answers & the way u answered. No way unless their putting it in their ears. What moran would put it in their ear anyway? So to me that is being sarcastic. I do wear hearing aid on both ears & i am losing sleep & added stress because of tinnitus. The only thing i increased that happen recently was stress, coffee with lots of splenda & I'm only 38 yrs old.

Well the statement I made was not sarcastic unless someone was in pain, or in a bad mood when they read it. I thought you might fell better if someone added a little comedy in their answer, but excuse the he_ _ out of me. Another thing, you don't know how old I am, you said you were only 38. You do not know my age when I was hit with this. It is starting to sound like you are feeling sorry for yourself. Your question was fine, and did not sound you felt sorry for yourself, it is your comment's that sound that way.
You said you was sorry about me having it too, but the sound was driving you crazy. Believe me, I know the sound is driving you crazy, but you know what?, you have to find some way to cope with it until you get used to it. There is nothing else we can do. I was 38 when it hit me, and I had a 5 year old son that I wanted to take care of instead of him taking care of me. I'm sorry you are sick! I really am, and I'm telling you the truth, I was adding the " unless you put in your ear" to be funny. That's the way I am, but I guess I can see that people reading my funnies doesn't hear it from me therefore it is taken wrong. If I can help you I will! You just ask, and I'll help any way I can, because I DO know how you feel! I thought that sound would drive me crazy too. How do ou get over it? You don't, you just take 1 day at a time, and there will be a day that it doesn't bother you anything like it does now.

Thank you i just need some relief. I am trying to find out if others done something different. Instead of trying all this herbs on the commercial. Sometimes it gets so loud i have 2 todders i need to take care of them. I want it to go away fast. Thank you though sometimes when u read something it's hard to fine humor.
