How Long Does It Take for Cream Cheese to Spoil?

Report as

Unopened cream cheese can safely be eaten for one month past the 'best when purchased by' date as long as it has been stored at or below 40 F. A good source for determining how long food can safely be kept can be found at http://www.gourmetsleuth.com/Articles/Nutrition-Health-Food-Labeling-646/food-expiration-dates.aspx.

Cream cheese has a long fridge life when not opened. Once opened it will last about two weeks before it starts to dry up if not wrapped good enough. Just smell the cheese and you will know if it is still good to eat. If it is wrapped up good, it will and should last by the date on the package.

Cream cheese is usually good for about 10 days after you open it. You best chance is to keep it refrigerated at all times.

Cream cheese lasts for about two weeks after the package has been opened. It needs to be kept cool and in the fridge to keep for the two weeks. An unopened package of cream cheese will keep until it's expiration date if kept cool.
