What is McDonald's chicken made of?

An email says it is ground mechanically mashed and run through a sieve, bones, eyes, guts, and all. There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Finally, since it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color. People still eat this and feed it to their
children!
Is this the truth?

Yeah, but only partially it is... Watch "Food Inc" to find out more about where your fast food is coming from and check out that link.

The sieve is actually to remove all the meat from the bones and no parts of the head are included.
It is also not an accepted process to soak the chicken in ammonia, but it has been known to leak onto the food.
There is artificial flavoring in the meat.
This is considered fit for human consumption, though if more people knew how their "delicious" mcnuggets were made, maybe they would think otherwise.

Thanks Jackie for reinforcing my decision not to eat at McDonalds.
My motto: Good food takes time to prepare, that's why fast food is ready in seconds.

If you want GOOD chicken nuggets, it's a better idea to make them yourself, preferably from organic chicken, such as Bare Naked chicken. I like to use breast meat myself, but you can also use thighs-- Bare Naked offers both, skinless and boneless. Then, to make it even healthier, try this: set up a "dredging system"--three dishes. In the first, put some all-purpose flour, in the second, some "egg-beaters" (you can also just whisk a couple of egg whites), and in the third dish, put either crushed cornflakes or even crushed potato chips (though this will increase the fat content). You can season the cereal/chips with salt and pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne. Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces. Roll these in the flour, then the egg, and last, the crunchy stuff. Place your chicken bites on a cookie sheet you've sprayed with nonstick spray (Pam, for example), and then spray the bites, too. Bake in a 425F over for 5-8 minutes. Remove when they are dark golden brown and smell crazy good. Your kids will gobble them up just as happily as they would the MickeyD's mystery-meat, but you can feel a lot better about it!
