I prepares them for life! Can you imagine what type of life people would have with no education? Not knowing how to read, write, count or any of the things that are taught in school.. It's very important!
Because you get an awesome feeling when you know something! I mean seriously, who wouldn't want to brag sometimes? Learning things in school can help you achieve that. Also, you get a chance to meet people your age and build long lasting relationships with them. It helps you prepare for college and your job.
To help children know some basic units needed for a job, it prepares us for the real world. I know some stuff like science and social studies might not help, but there are plenty of jobs that includes the use of this knowledge. If you didn't go to school who would build phones or other electronics and stuff that pleasure you. We wouldmt wnt 2 tlk like tis wood we? Yea, science also helps with building roller coasters! Love them! Excuse my bad grammar just giving an example. I just don't get the point of the long tests they give us.
But school isn't good! It tears children away from the learning they have done since birth, places them in a institution where they are bored into memorizing mostly useless facts, and teaches them to hate learning! Before school, young children look forward to learning about new things, and actually learn much harder thing BY THEMSELVES than they would ever learn in school. Did someone teach you to walk and talk, the two hardest things you will ever learn? No! You learnt it by experimenting, picking up on your mistakes, and correcting them! In school, if you make a mistake, your 'teachers' and peers will ridicule you for it. Outside of school, if you make a mistake, you can learn from it and thus improve your understanding of it!
