How Long Does It Take to Get Rid of Scabies?

Report as

For effective treatment for scabies, prescription medication, usually in the form of creams, must be used. The prognosis or outlook for people with scabies is often very good, as long as the prescribed treatment regimen is followed. However, itching may persist for up to 2 weeks after initial treatment. It is generally recommended to consult your physician if itching lasts for more than 2 weeks after treatment, as this might be an indication that retreatment is needed.
