Yes, it's true this is a scam (sort of) When you pay the .95 cents for the trial period you have very little time to cancel. When you sign up for people finder.com you automatically get put into the pf rewards membership too. When you cancel yourself online or over the phone (which I think is easiest). I had thought that I had already cancelled but was informed that I only cancelled 1 account (the only one I knew about) After being lied to several times and denied a refund, I kept trying and finally got the money back for the account I didn't even know about. A women Sierra was wonderful and did it for me over the phone and she wasn't even upper mang. Don't talk to Brittany she is the spawn of Satan!! Good luck to all you that have been scammed like me!!
Wow. Thanks to others for posting on this problem. I just got off the phone with Christine..a PF rep. She would not credit me back. I am sure I did not sign up for this. WHAT A SCAM. Rude as heck as well.
They are a scam. Do NOT purchase anything from them. If you do, and you do not read the fine print carefully, you will be enrolled in both their monthly membership for $25 AND their PR Rewards program (worthless) for another $25. When you log in, and check your account status, it will NOT tip you off that you actually have two accounts and are being charged for both services. You will only notice when you look carefully at your credit card statement. When you call to enquire, they will not let you speak to a manager and will ONLY offer to help you cancel the memberships. They will not help you with anything else. What a scam.
They are a scam. PF Rewards and PeopleFinders.com are the same Be careful. they said I clicked on a Free trial, which I never did. 3 days later they drafted $25 off my cc for PF rewards. Three days later they drafted ANOTHER $25 off for Peoplefinders.com. I called to remove the charges and to discontinue. They said they couldnt remove charges. And another $25 was being drafted for EACH--PF and PeopleFinders. They havent given anything in return for $100.
As of 7/2013 they are still charging for the PF Reward without telling you ANYTHING about them As soon as I canceled PF I got charged $24.95 from PF Rewards (I was sooo upset seeing this charge without me knowing about it) what a way to get money and I thought PF was a good company......I did what long2putt suggested and it worked they had the $19.99 AND the $24.99 back in my account within 2 days.....Good luck to all
