When Divorce Papers Are Signed In Florida How Long Do You Have To Wait To Marry Someone Else?

In Florida, once the divorce papers are signed, one can already marry someone. In an agreed divorce in Florida, one spouse can file the papers at a local court house. A copy of the filed divorce papers will be sent to the other spouse. When that spouse signs and acknowledges the s/he received the copy, the divorce proceeds even without having to appear at the final divorce hearing.
