How Do You Put on a Alternator Belt?

Report as

With a socket wrench, turn the tension pulley clockwise. Slide the belt over the pulley so that it sits in the center with the teeth aligned. Apply tension to the pulley by releasing the torque. Slide the belt over the alternator and apply tension, moving the belt back and forth, until the tension reaches 50 pounds.
