Do lactaid pills work?

My doctor told me I was lactose intolerant. -_- But I can't find a replacement for all the dairy stuff I like. And most if the replacements suck anyhow. So do those lactaid pills work? And if so, when do I take them and how long do they last?

I like the fast acting dissolving ones they taste like ice cream and yes they work they provide lactase (the enzyme lactose intolerant people lack). Take this right before you eat. Some people it works differently for and may need more

My brother in law takes them right before he eats something with diary in it or whatever.. It all depends on the person..

Most patients who have used lactaid pills have said that the pills worked. It is important to know that there are some factors that hinder the lactaid pills from working. These factors are; allergies to ingredients of the pill, using the pills simultaneously with other medications and pregnancy. Follow prescription by the physician who prescribed the drugs to you.
