For perfect boiled eggs to use in egg salad, place eggs in a pot and add just enough water to cover them. Turn the heat to medium, and let them come to a gentle rolling boil. Put the lid on and turn off the fire, eggs are done 15 minutes after they come to a boil. Eggs peel easiest when cooled.
You will need to boil eggs for around ten minutes to be used for egg salad. Once cooked, crack eggs to remove shells. Place eggs with mayonnaise, salt, pepper and if you choose, some chopped celery. Mix very well until all creamy and eggs are broken and soft.
