To make homemade gravy with flour all you need to do first is to add the flour in a glass with water and mix until dissolved. Put in pot with some butter and mix. Keep mixing until the flour start to get thick. Add in some gravy master to give it the color. Add salt and pepper for taste. Once it is think enough to your liking it will be done.
Set your burner to medium high, place the large skillet onto it and add 1/4 cup cooking oil. Mix in 3 teaspoons flour once the oil is hot. Mix thoroughly. Add a large thinly-sliced onion and stir until both the onion slices and flour are golden in appearance. Reduce heat to medium and add 1 teaspoon tomato paste. Mix thoroughly. Add 2 1/2 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Allow the contents of the skillet to boil then reduce the heat to low and let simmer until the contents have reached the thickness, or consistency, you desire. Sample the gravy and add additional salt at this time if you need to.
