What is a democracy?

I need to compare feudalism to democracy in a double bubble map but i dont have anything on the democracy side.

Democracy can be defined as a system of government where all adult citizens have equal say in the decisions that impact their lives. The most typical form of democracy is parliamentary democracy where the public elect their representatives.

If the asker is from the US, then he or she lives in a Republic which means we choose representatives who make policy decisions. "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of america, and to the republic, for which it stands..."
