can you freeze potato soup

Report as

Yes, you can freeze potato soup. Make sure you let it cool, then place in refrigerator to chill. Remove and skim off any solid grease or fat at the top. Pour into airtight containers, leaving some room at the top. Seal, and place in freezer.

Yes, you can freeze potato soup, but don't add milk or cream before freezing. To read a discussion on freezing potato soup, please go to http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/274835.

You can freeze potato soup (and other recipes containing potato), but the results are not the same. The soup will taste fine, but the texture of the potatoes will be more gritty and not creamy.
