What Spice Can I Use If I Don't Have Tarragon?

Report as

If you don't have tarragon leaves at your house or can't find any at the grocery, good substitutes are fresh chervil, fennel or basil leaves. You can also use dried herb such as marjoram, oregano or rosemary.

A spice that you can use to replace the tarragon is thyme. Tarragon has a licorice taste to it so another great spice to used would be fennel.

If you do not have tarragon and need a substitute, you can use Chervil, a dash of aniseed, or fennel seed. If you don't have cilantro, you can always use parsley.
