what happens when an estate executor dies

Report as

It depends, if a will was left behind it can be put under the supervision of a trustee until the the government body appropriates the inheritance. If no will was in place at the time of death some else will be nominated and again the government body will appropriate the inheritance will in supervision of a public trustee.

If the estate was already distributed before the executor dies, then there would be less issues to be expected. But if its the other way around, then the court must immediately be notified of the executor's demise so a successor can be appointed.
