If your ps3 dies and wont turn on. Can you retrieve some or all of your data on playstation network with a PC?

No, i don't think you will able to retrieve some or all of your data on PlayStation network or off the HDD using your PC. This is because your processor or the Linux systems cannot make use of the PS3 HDD without formatting.

You probably won't have to retrieve anything just leave it sit for a while
