It's called 'One Second After', and it's a light-reading story that talks about the effects of an EMP (Electro-Magnetic Pulse) nuclear blast high up in our atmosphere - and how people have to survive without any modern electronic devices, or anything that has any kind of circuit board (even most cars before 1980). Great book for developing some reality on what could happen if North Korea, Iran, China, Russia, or even just some terrorists pulled it off.

That is a sobering, no scary, thought. Being the worrier that I am, I am concerned about the Israel/Iran tension....and that Obama seems to turn a blind, or worse yet, seeing eye to nuclear possibility in Iran.

You SHOULD be concerned - we all should. They say all the food stores would be empty within 24 hours, no water, natural gas, or (of course) electricity. Scariest thought - children would turn vicious from hunger first. It would be like 'Lord of the Flies' within a year. Have a nice day!!!
