Should potatoes be refrigerated?
Once they've been cooked, yes.... before that, they are fine in the bag in a cool dry place away from sunlight.
Potatoes do not require refrigeration however the process has no adverse effects o the raw potatoes. Potatoes should be stored in a cool dry place however, cooked ones need refrigeration.
The refrigeration of raw potatoes will cause the starch in them to turn to sugar. When you cook them, they will have a sweet taste.
