what kind of oil does KFC fry their chicken in?
In the US, KFC uses trans-fats free soybean oil since 2007 after it was sued by the Center for Science in the Public Interest in 2006. However, outside of the US they continue to use palm coil which contains 1% trans fat and 52% saturated fat.
By April, 2007 KFC had changed their oil for frying chicken and potato wedges to a "low linolenic" soy bean oil. This oil contains no trans fats.
