Which phone platform has the most market share in Europe?
Tough question. Here's what I've found:http://www.devicemag.com/2010/08/02/android-overtakes-blackberry-and-iphone-in-sales-becoming-the-largest-smartphone-platform-in-us/ ...However China Mobile?s decision to use the Android-derived Open Mobile System forms a kind of government backed assistance. With a population of 1.3 billion, China represents a market with enormous growth potential and Canalys expects Android to be among the platforms that will drive growth in the coming quarters and years. As for worldwide figures, Nokia?s European and Asian strengths come into play with a 38-percent market share, making them the number one smartphone company.
According to everything I have been reading, the Android, is the number one selling platform. The sales in China alone, are up like 800%, and the Chinese are the second largest smart phone market.
Well it seems that there are several popular phones out there in the world, especially in Europe. However, it seems that the market's most popular phone seems to be the iPhone, but lookout because the Droid and Blackberry are not far behind!
Its iPhone, according to Statcounter: http://gs.statcounter.com/#mobile_os-eu-monthly-200907-201008
I would assume Nokia.
