I want to substitute sugar to make cookies because my grandma is diabetic. What are good substitute for sugar?

You may want to look into using Stevia which is an all natural no-calorie sweetner. Personally I wouldn't use Splenda, too many chemicals.

There are a lot of artificial sweetners on the market that you can purchase to substitute for sugar for diabetics. Look in the grocery store and you will see them and it will give you the measure equal to sugar on the package. That is the only substitution for a diabetic.

Be careful, diabetics still have to count their carbohydrates.
