Why does it seem that guys like toothpick girls?

i dont understand i always get rejected because im not a toothpick

Who knows? Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. When I was dating, I liked girls others thought were ugly and vice a versa. Patience, as guys get older they definitely go away from just the toothpick girls.

Hamath is right, I'm older and my girl for 8yrs now is cute and chubby! In a man's younger day its more for an ego thing. Kind of telling his buddies "Hey look at my girl,do you approve". Then somehow we grow up. Anyhow real love comes when we get older and wiser.

Take your time and don't worry about rejections. Any guy should be lucky that you are confident enough in yourself to ask them out. If not who needs that one. There are many more out there. Guys like to dream about race cars but the speed limit is 65mph...so how crazy is it to want a $250,000 car that goes over 200mph. To the right guy, you win the race every time and it is definitely NOT about being a toothpick. There is someone for everyone.

Not everyone, I have a slim build for a guy so physically speaking I'm more comfortable with a woman that is average or slim. Been with a girl though once for three years that had on some healthy pounds and she was beautiful to me.

As long as you try and take care of yourself at least....

It's one thing to have some weight, but if it's as a result of bad personal care, that's a bit unattractive. Anyway, that's why I personally am at first attracted girls with less weight but it isn't the deciding factor in how I feel about a person. Funny thing is, seems like in most cases the bigger girls are attracted to me O_o.

Not complaining though, just an interesting observation. :)
