Ireland is the third largest island to the northwest of continental Europe. The island is divided between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, as part of the United Kingdom. To its east is the larger island of Great Britain from which is separated by Irish Sea.

Northern Ireland is part of Great Britain. The city of Belfast is particularly known for its fighting between the poor Catholics and well to do British who have two different religions, Catholic and Protestant.
