Anxiety attacks can be a normal occurrence in an otherwise healthy person. When there is an illness present, certain medication may bring about more instances of these episodes. If the usual steps to relax and regain control are not sufficient, it is advisable to call 911, especially if suicide is a thought.
Some medications will have the side effect of an anxiety attack in a rare number of patients. In these cases, it is often only when starting the medication and the sensation will not repeat with continued use. Consult with your doctor.
