No ice cream? Never heard that one. The foods you really need to avoid are alcohol, any fish with a high mercury content, & soft cheeses. Undercooked meat is also best avoided, even if you normally eat it. And if you are nauseous & only have 2 or 3 things that appeal to you, go with it. First trimester (yes, all 3 of those months!) of my second pregnancy, all I could eat was saltines, green beans, & milk.
Healthy foods are what you should eat. Fruits, vegetables, yogurt, chicken and pasta are good for you. The foods to stay away from has a long list. You shouldn't eat fast foods, fried foods, sweets, breads and ice cream. It is difficult when you are pregnant, for everything tastes and smells good.
