I'm a sophomore in college and starting to realize school isn't for me anymore I'm smart but all I can think about is snowboarding opinions?

My mom finished college and high school while she had me at age 16, and I know she would be crushes if I told her "aye I just want to go snowboard and what not for the rest of my life" but honestly that would make me happy. but then again I do want that life with a wife, kids a nice house and what not also. I know this is a personal thing but maybe your opinion could help a bit?

Maybe try to find a balance between the two. As a sophomore, I presume you've completed most if not all of your core classes, which are usually the most boring classes that'll demotivate almost anyone who's already not too thrilled about it. So try to find and/or choose a major that you could probably do well at or possibly enjoy while maybe finding a p/t job on the slopes as a snowboard instructor or something, if that's practical for you. Either that or train real hard for the Olympics or smaller competitions with monetary rewards (if such exists) and make a name for yourself, and then hope to get offers for endorsements and what not.

I'm a softmore in high and attend governor's at my local community college during the mourning. I totally understand where your coming from because my problem is I don't want to attend these college classes anymore so I can just focus on track. I've talked to many people and what they have told me is to follow my heart. Yeah education is important but doing what you want is too! hope that helps:)

You have to ask yourself how far you can go in life with snowboarding. If you are serious enough to make your living snowboarding go for it. However it would be good to have some schooling to fall back on. Too many people have put all of their hopes and dreams on a sports career and then some injury has prevented them from continuing and they them couldn't find a good job because they had no other skills

Well collage doesn't guarantee you a good job and loads of money, it would probably be a good idea to find a job your comfortable with that can support you, and staying out of debt wouldn't hurt either. If you do decide to stay in collage it couldn't hurt just as long as you pass. And I understand where your coming from on the snowboarding thing, but it's probably not a great idea to drop out for snowboarding. Just remember, everything will come together as long as you make the right decision for you.

Hmmmmmm.... Well I can totally get where your coming from, yeah college may be really important to some people and it is, but it doesn't exactly have to be on the top of the list of things to do. Just make sure that you have a decent job to support you because you may not get a snowboarding job or career right away. Make sure you think about what your doing before you do it. Besides your got your whole life to go back to collge ;)
