How do you prevent water pipes from freezing in a mobile home when the electricity goes out?
Keep the water flowing, slowly, through the pipes. That's if you are not on a well and have no water pressure. It has to be really cold for several hours before you really are in trouble.
If you live in a really cold area you can also purchase wrap for your pipes that help keep them from freezing. Easiest way is to keep water trickling from the faucets.
Leave the water at a constant drip and insulate the pipes with armor flex or fiberglass insulation
I live in a doublewide and I use heat tape.
