Who makes the best gas for your vehicle? Or is any brand better than another?
All gasoline is the same regardless of brand. There are standards in place that regulate the quality and octane rating of the fuel. The only difference is the marketing, and possibly a proprietary additive package added at the destination. The refiners make gas for all the major oil companies. Just because you pull into a Chevron station, does not mean the gasoline came from a Chevron refiner. You can read up on it at www.ase.org or www.epa.gov.As long as you use the octane rating your car/truck requires, you are fine.
Chevron or Shell makes good gas and it works well in your car. The type of gas you purchase, depends on the year and the type of car you have. With the high price of gas everywhere, being able to put gas in your tank is a luxury.
Arco is bad. They use more fillers than the other companies, that's why it's cheaper.
As dross1958 said all gas is the same. From rotten robbies to chevron and shell. I have filled up in all the stations and haven't seen a difference in mpg, but have seen a difference in my wallet.
the higher octane the better if you wanted to go crazy you could buy 120 octane n you car would never be happier but it is 7$ a gallon and only special places sell it
