Is it good to take 4 days off work, after working there for a few months?

I had an interview today, and the hiring manager said I had a good chance for the job. But I have an convention I've wanted to go to for years, and finally have the chance. The con. isn't till the end of May which will give me about 4 months of the job. Should it be fine, or should I wait another year?

This is depending on what your contract states. The contract has a place that specifies when you are legible for off days and how long. Every company has different policies on this and it would be good if you checked yours or confirmed with the company.

Follow what your intuition says, because both the things are important and specially in this recession time job is always important.

If it's approved. Next time let your new employers no you have dates that you need off . If you can.
