What are some good ways to start a story

Im a new writer and need some help

To start up a story you need to be familiar with your punctuations and writing format. Then get a notebook or a journal. Find out what genre of writing you like and keep your journal and a pencil on you. You should know your characters and don't try so hard let the story write itself. Try to figure it out playing it in your head then gather all your ideas and get your inspirations, creativity, imaginations and scribbled on journal paper start drafting it. It's advisable you talk with someone who has more experience in writing stories.

Well that all depends on what your writing ABOUT my friend :) start it off with a description of the main character n the scenery around him .... I don't know , sorry... I write out of frustration as a way of venting, not actual stories! I wish you luck though! Have a good day:) OO

I always like stories that start off with the worst stuff that catches my attention then goes back to the beginning of how it started up to the moment of its worst but finishes with the resolution, happy ending, climax and leaves me in awe and wanting more.
