It is hard to get up in the mornings because your bed is so comfortable and you just do not want to leave it. Some people say to leave a window open if not to cold so when you do get up your body can breathe in the fresh air to make it easier to wake up. http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/04/how-to-get-up-right-away-when-your-alarm-goes-off/

You can try getting an old fashioned Big Ben alarm clock, the wind-up kind with a really loud ringer. Put in a metal trashcan at the opposite end of the room.

I have this problem too for 30 years. I think the only thing that gets me out of bed is my husband of two years or baby 7 months old.

As soon as you wake up, drag yourself out of bed and go outside to your backyard, patio, porch, wherever you can be in the sun for 5-20 minutes. Just stand out there and look towards the sun. This will help you wake up as well as get tired earlier at night. Circadian rhythm.

Do you go to sleep late every night or have trouble falling asleep?

Usually one dreams (REM) about every 1.5 to 2 hours. Each dream cycle gets longer as the night progresses. Your longest REM usually occurs right before you wake up. When one has just awoken from having just had a REM, they will feel like they've just been drugged. It's always nice to just lay there a few moment, but when you get up, jump in the shower, do some awakening activities like excersizing. Eat protein rich foods. That early morning grogginess is hard to fight, I agree.
