This is bad news. Sleep is critical. And, the more you don't sleep, the more you're going to psych yourself out into not sleeping.
First of all, are you scared of something that is a reality in your everyday life (threats? etc?) or is this about something you saw on TV? If you have a real life reason to be scared, you need to talk about this with a friend or family member you can trust! Get help so you're not alone dealing with it. But, if this is an irrational fear, then you need to find a way to distract yourself long enough to fall asleep. Tips for this include: a) trying to sleep during daylight, b) trying to sleep with the light on, c) sleeping with a friend or family member, d) using visual meditation to think of something not scary - try thinking of outfits you might want to wear or something that will keep your brain distracted for a long period of time.
I had this too recently. I don't know your reason, but mine was connected to anxiety. I was scared that if I'd go to sleep, I'd die. After waking everybody up, drinking a cup of tea, turning on some relaxing music, and ultimately saying "if I die, I die" I finally fell asleep. There is nothing one can do to avoid death, and ultimately you'll have to go to sleep. If this is not your reason, then sorry, but if it is then I hope i helped!
