In what ways has texting contributed cell phones to people?

Texting has greatly promoted the use of cell phones, because it a cheaper way of communication and it can be done without disturbing people. Additionally, texting gives individuals an opportunity of communicating or passing long messages, which are likely to be left when calling, because every individual always endeavors to summarize his or her calls.
