What is the best college/degree to become a Network Administrator?

I am currently attending University of Maryland University College for a bachelors in Computer Information Technology. It has come to my attention that I want to narrow down my studies to become a Network Administrator/Engineer/Manager. However, I am unsure what bachelor programs would be best. Would a BS in Computer Science, Computer IT, Information Systems or related be sufficient, or should I look for a more specific degree to Network Admins? What do companies look for in colleges or degrees when hiring Network Admins?

A B.S. in Computer Science is probably sufficient to get a job as a network administrator. I would recommend going to employment sites like indeed.com, monster.com, careerbuilder.com, and search for jobs as a network administrator. You can also do a Google search for network admin jobs and see what types of degree requirements are found on job advertisements. However, some experience is required in these types of jobs. You may want to look into that also, perhaps working part-time in a help desk or computer support.
