Why does my fret hand fall asleep when I play my guitar?

Report as

The reason why your fret hand falls asleep and gets numb when you play your guitar is because of carpal tunnel syndrome. Plucking the guitar narrows the bit of the wrist where the bundle of nerves for your fingers goes through because of repetitive guitar-playing motion.
