Where do I start?

I'm a 15 year old girl who is really out of shape and I look like I'm 11. I think I could have some potential if I just take care of my physical self better. Where do I start for eating and exercising? I'm really embarrassed because most 15 year olds look really hot....Help?

15 year olds shouldn't worry about their weight unless they are unhealthy.....


Drink water, not juice or pop, fruit instead of chips n cookies
Small changes, try walking to school or taking up a sport.
Consult your doctor before beginning any diet/exercise program

Im going to say yes on this one. Not bc you need to look a certain way but eating right and exercising its a great thing on its own. Try to stay away from fast food and junk. Its ok to eat it just not as a meal lol. If you want to look more into it... go to womens heatlh online they have great workouts and most of that stuff you can do in your own room

Try doing 10 crunches and pushups it really does help but don't expect to see a difference right away

You also drink about 8 ounces of water before 20 minutes before you eat that way you won't eat as much.

I'm 15 going on 16 I'm about 5"8 5"9 like 130 I drink alot of water it's pretty much all I drink I love fruit and veggies not much of a meat person I'm pretty picky I like to walk and run I love being active yet I'm also lazy lol just be active and eat and drink good and you will be better before you know it good luck :)

Pick a diet (meaning what you eat and not a specific program) and exercise (meaning any activity) that you can enjoy and it will serve you well even as you get older. If you enjoy what you are doing you will keep doing it.

You could go on to: http://www.webmd.com/. It's not perfect, but it has some good basic information, and you can log all of your exercise and food choices so that you have a good basic idea of what you are doing. I really hope this helps and that you learn to feel the rewards of what a healthy lifestyle can bring you!
