Are prenatal vitamins safe for a teenager who is not pregnant but wants to make her hair grown faster ?

Yes, a multi-vitamin will do the same too.

Many prenatal vitamins have a very high iron content which might not be advisable for long term use. I would suggest that you take a good multivitamin (prenatal or other) and don't wash your hair everyday so as to maintain the natural oils that protect it. Don't heat style. Dry your hair on cold. Exercise is good. It helps increase blood flow to the scalp. Another trick is to hold your head upside-down for 20-30 seconds a day. Every 6 weeks, put a mask of some type in your hair. If you can't afford a mask, then beat an egg and let it sit in your hair for about 30 minutes - your hair is nothing but protein, so the egg will help it a lot! Rinse it out with a light shampoo in cold water. Trim your dead ends every 6-8 weeks. Brush with a wide-toothed comb, and make sure not to brush it when it's wet. Also, RELAX - stress (or any emotional turmoil) will retard hair growth. Get as much sleep as you can, because that's when your hair grows the most. Drink water ALL the time - do not drink soda pop of any kind. Wash it and brush it, and then leave it down - tying it up forces your hair to stay in place; and don't forget to get plenty of rest!

It's the colic acid that does that. They sell it over the counter and it says that right on the label. I take folic acid for another medical reason and it has cleared up my skin and made my hair healthy.

I use this shampoo called Mane and Tail... Its actually for horses, found in the pet dept at walmart... but my hair grew fast with it.... at least three inches within weeks... Just change up you shampoos after awhile cause overuse will dry out your scalp...
