How much oil is added to a gallon of gas for a 40:1 mix ratio?

Report as

OK, for example, if you have 1/2 gallon of gas, you will need to add 1.60 ounces of oil. For a gallon of gas, you need to add 3.20 ounces of oil. If you need more information, I found a great chart of gas/oil mix ratios for up to 10 gallons at http://www.southernskies.net/page_info/gas_mix.html. Hope this helps!
