How many CCL4 molecules of different masses can exist?

Are you asking about isotopes of carbon and chlorine? I think there are 2 isotopes of carbon (12 & 14) so that would give you two different CCl4 molecular masses. I don't know if there are any isotopes of chlorine, but if there are you would have to calculate the permutations of 4 chlorine atoms with that many different atomic masses, then double it for the two carbon masses.

The CCL4 molecules of different masses that can exist, are 5. A molecule can be referred to as an electrically neutral group of two or more atoms that are held together by covalent chemical bonds.
