Why did white people want the Cherokee to move out of Georgia?

Led by Andrew Jackson, he allowed whites to move in on Cherokee land in Georgia. When gold was discovered in Western Georgia, he created the Indian Removal Act, which was followed by the infamous Trail of Tears in the 1830s.

The white people wanted the Cherokee Indians to move out of Georgia because Georgia wanted the land to themselves. They also believed there was gold in the land and they didn't want the Indians to have it.
