Well first you have to consider that there are three main models of saxophone: student, intermediate and professional. Student models are for beginners (1-4 years of experience); intermediate is for the more talented and experience player while professional is usually for professional musicians. Most agree that the best student model/ overall model for the money is a student level Yamaha. They are considered to be very easy to fix and play. From personal experience I can vouch for those claims. Intermediate and professional models tend to be particular to personal preference for what the player is looking to get out of their saxophone (tone, range ect.) If you are looking into those than you would be best served to play and test out many different saxaphones. These models tend to much more consistent in price when compared to prices of student models.
