Which literary period includes the literature of ancient Greece and ancient Rome?

The classical period covers both ancient Greek and Roman literature. A period that started from around 1000 BC to 300 after, the Classical Period holds the foundation of modern literature, quite literally.

The answer to that is the Classical Period. The Greeks wrote many plays, both comedic and tragic. The Romans were more famous for their fables and myths. Both combined to give the world a rich history.
