I've been at my job for 3 1/2yrs on fulltime status. They recently put me on part time status for attendence. is it legal?

i have been gone for medical issues and they have dr notes for that and had 2 court dates and my grandfather died and took 2 days off for that.

It is very legal for a company to change your employment status from full time to part time basis. However if your contract dictates that you are on full time basis and has no provision that empowers the company's' management to do so then the move is illegal. It could have been worse at least you were not terminated.
