Bone marrow cancer includes several types of cancer such as multiple myeloma and leukemias. Depending on the exact type of cancer, bone marrow cancer can be treated. However, the average length of life after treatment is about 4.5 years in the case of multiple myeloma and 5 years or more for most leukemias.

It depends on the stage of the bone marrow cancer. In stage 1 for instance, the survival rate is between 71 and 88%. In stage 4, the rate drops to 19 to 49%. It can be fatal, but can also be highly treatable if caught early.
