Fear. Most people have this feeling where they run away from there problems... out of fear. If hope was stronger than fear, no one would run away.

He is hope!!! And He (hope) will never leave you. So hope definitely conquers fear :)
I dont have a direct answer, but if there is no fear than there would be no reason fo hope. And if there is hope, there is also fear. So really they balance each other out. This probably didnt help but tried anyway(:

Hoppe cuz with hope you can do anything and fear just brings you down .i had a fear that my cancer would kill me then the doctor said "with hope you might still be able to live"
now with hope ... i am alive and almost cancer free!

KathyRobinsonjr, you are right, men did developed medicines that cures. But where did their knowledge come from? And I heard that being positive and being hopeful when you're sick it helps the sick people to get better...that's what I heard...

Fear is more powerful. We all fear the unknown. When we are afraid of something we are capable of doing anything to do what we think is necessary to protect ourselves from whatever it is we fear.
i think fear.hope is good but fear will help you make a lot of life saving decisions..fear will help you make life saving decisions ! such as protect yourself, your family, your loved ones.. Fear will help you survive when others dont know what to do except HOPE someone will help them. I guess i feel this way because I now believe what science is proving when it comes to God,Jesus,Heaven and Hell. PLEASE i dont need anyone to preach to me this is just what i feel now. im 60 and have heard what most of you have heard all your lives. MY QUESTION! Why havent we seen someone walk on water,seen a dead man get up and walk after being dead for 3 days and was rottening seen cripples rise from their long term crippling disease..Oh well i guess this will do it. i do not mean to offend anyone by anything i say. kathy
That is a fascinating question! When I first read it, I answered fear. It seems to me that there is more fear in this country than hope. I believe that some (not all) of our economic problems comes from fear. Physical maladies can have a root in fear. IMHO, it is "easier" to fear than to have hope-even though eventually fear is exhausting.

Hope is definitely more powerful than fear. Would a man take his life because he is afraid of what will happen to him, or because he hopes that he will be saved in the afterlife? Hope makes us do some crazy things.
Hope only helps strong people but that is not most of us.Fear affects every thing.

Hope is something we make ourselves, in our own minds. Without it, well, life would be pretty grim. Fear is a natural reaction, something we cannot control for the most part. Look at it like this: we say "I hope tomorrow is warm and sunny".....not "I fear it is going to be cold and raining tomorrow." ...well, I thought that was a good example but now...

Hope, without a doubt!! Sadly, those who answer fear, have not learned how to strengthen or "feed" hope. You should give it a try; it makes life more livable!
Fear, even these religious peeps believe in it out of fear for the hope they don't just stop living when they die. Though fear isn't evil like Starwars might want you to believe it runs us all to live a more productive life, whereas the hopefuls stand around like Dodo's to die just for something they think might be better.
