What would cause me to lose power at high rpm
When i shift into second or third gear(depends on the weather) and bring it up to 5500 or 6000 rpm's the car loses great power and starts to take in too much air and its acceleration slows greatly. then for the rest of the day it has no power and takes in too much air from that point on until the next morning... i thought it was a vacuum leak but i'm not sure... my codes on the diagnostic are running too lean in bank 1 and 2 and my evaporation system is bad. could the evaporation system cause this?.. i own a 1999 mercury cougar v6 After that happens my 0-60 is almost 9 seconds.. please help.
