Get a plastic baggie (that does not leak) and force it down the front of the shoe/boot. Add water to the baggie until it fills to the point that it can be tied in a knot. Put the shoe in the freezer and let the water turn to ice. The ice will expand the leather. Take the shoe out of the freezer once solid and let the ice thaw. Repeat the process until the shoe/boot fits comfortably.
The easiest way to stretch leather is to add bulk inside. Leather shoes should be stretched or "broken In" before wearing. If you don't you may be very sorry later! Try putting on several pairs of socks and wearing the boots around the house for a few days in a row, its a great way to break in heels too!
