To grow sweet potatoes, you will need to purchase some sweet potatoes in mid winter at your local store. When they start to sprout, put the opposite end in water. When you are ready to plant cut the sprouts and plant. The sweet potatoe is a hardy plant and does well in sandy soil, but will grow in almost anytype of soil.
Get a sweet potato and put about 3 to 4 toothpicks in it and a jar make a circle around the middle of the sweetotato, put one end of the potato in the jar. Fill jar with water and place in window and watch the leaves grow.
